Day 9

So we settled in a bit today, basically took it off I guess you could say. It took me a little while to get up, was pretty tired, so Krysta was nice enough to get breakfast for me haha. After eating, and renewing the room for another night, we headed out on to the highway.

We drove to Sherman Oaks and went to Mad Bulls Tavern, a sports bar that was packed due to it being a football Sunday. It was there that I met up with Austin, and many of his friends from out here, some of whom I had met in my previous visits out here. We actually arrived over an hour before the Patriots game started, so I spent much of that time socializing with the guys. Eventually Krysta understandably got a little bored, and headed back to Glendale. I stuck around for a few more hours, watched the Pats game and ate. Austin actually was interviewed by the local CBS affiliate as he was wearing Patriots gear, which was pretty cool. After the game, we walked to his car, drove around a little bit (listening to the soundtrack to the movie "Drive") and eventually headed back to his Van Nuys apartment.

When we arrived, I got to see my friend Chris, who was my roommate senior year in college, for the first time on this trip. I used to be a big wrestling fan, and still watch it casually from time to time, I usually know generally what's going on with the stories, etc. Chris was also a big wrestling fan, so we would often watch old DVDs of the good ol' WWF days back in college. Tonight we ordered WWE's Pay Per View event "Hell in a Cell." A few of the guys who were at the bar showed up, and we enjoyed watching the event. After it was over, Krysta picked me up at the apartment, and we headed back to Glendale.

From there we pretty much just hung out in the room, William came by and we watched some TV and stuff. Overall it was a pretty low key day, which I think was just what we needed after running around all over the place over the last week...
