We looked around to try to find a place to get lunch, and then I realized William had the day off, so I decided to call him and ask if he wanted to join us. He needed about a half hour to get ready, but was game. So we walked around this downtown Burbank area a bit, but didn't really do anything haha. Eventually we picked William up and decided to head to Universal Citywalk for lunch. Interestingly enough I've been in LA for almost 2 weeks now, but hadn't gone to the Citywalk yet, a place I visited frequently in both my trips last year.
I think Citywalk is more of a nightlife place, a lot of cool bars and clubs to hang out at, one of my personal favorites is Howl at the Moon with their dueling pianos. It's not quite as busy during the day, but still a cool place to go to. We walked around a bit and tried to figure out where to go. We ended up deciding on Johnny Rockets, which was fine by me, as I'm trying to save money now. Pretty quick service in and out which was also a plus. I got a chicken club sandwich, pretty solid. After eating we explored the Citywalk some more, went into a few gift shops looking for souvenirs for a lot of people. Won't say if we got any so people can be surprised.
he's definitely not THAT much taller than me, I think I'm standing further away |
After grabbing a few things, we walked down to that big Universal globe at the entrance to both the Citywalk and Universal Studios. Of course we had to get a picture in front of it!
After a nice visit to the Citywalk, we all drove over to our new hotel, this time in Glendale. William helped us bring our stuff in, which was nice cause he's definitely stronger than me (no matter how much I try, I can't build any arm muscle, oh well, just gotta focus on the abs I guess, I got him beat by a lot there). We hung around a little bit, went over to Ralph's to get some rations for the next few days, then I drove William back to his apartment. I think that was pretty much for today. If I remember anything more I'll add it in later.... peace
